The drug that can treat coronavirus on its own has been named by WHO

People who have contracted coronavirus should avoid certain drugs, while COVID-19 can be treated with paracetamol, said World Health Organization spokesman Christian Lindmayer.

The newspaper reported on a case when a four-year-old girl infected with coronavirus, after taking ibuprofen symptoms have only worsened: the temperature jumped, coughing became stronger, the baby almost suffocated. In this regard, the British Ministry of Health warned compatriots with symptoms of coronavirus that it is better not to take ibuprofen.

Meanwhile, WHO noted that ibuprofen can be prescribed by a physician if it is medically necessary.

"No new evidence has been published that Ibuprofen increases the risk of mortality. There is not enough research, and experts are still examining the data. For the time being, we recommend preferring paracetamol and not using ibuprofen as a self-treatment," Christian Lindmeyer said, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
